Industrial and Technology Education 2011 Competition

Promote your program, showcase the talents of your students, and let your school board members know about your award-winning results!

The Industrial and Technology Education program at the California State Fair in Sacramento recognizes outstanding projects created in vocational education courses in the California school system. The competition is open to students enrolled in vocational education courses in grades 7 through Community College during the 2010/2011 school year. There are no prerequisites for entry.

To enter your students into the competition go to and click “Contests & Competitions.”  Under “Industrial & Technology Education” you will find all of the competition materials.  Entry Forms and fees are due on or before May 6.  Entries will then need to be dropped off at (or shipped to arrive before), May 21.  Entries will be reviewed by qualified Judges.  Students and instructors will receive results by mail.  Selected entries will receive ribbons and may qualify for various other cash and donated awards.  They will also be displayed during the 2011 California State Fair in Sacramento, July 14 – 31, 2011.

This showcase of the California’s best vocational education projects would not be possible without involved instructors like you!  We’d like to acknowledge your contribution with a ribbon matching the highest award won by your students.  There is also an Instructors Cash Sweepstakes, points for which are calculated based on awards won by your students.  An Instructor Competition division offers a chance to compete against your colleagues.
